WHAT'S GOING WRONG WITH EIA REPORTING ?
HOW CAN WE IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF EIA REPORTS IN SOUTH AFRICA ?
A few weeks ago I posted a rant on LinkedIn about a substandard Basic Assessment Report. That wasn’t the first nor the last say on this critical issue. The post kind-of went viral and I received a call from someone who claimed that I was painting the profession in a bad light.

WHAT’S GOING WRONG WITH EIA REPORTING ?

It seems as if new laws, policies, guidelines and professional registration has done little to significantly improve the quality of EIA reporting ?
Why is this so ?
HOW CAN WE IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF EIA REPORTS ?
In theory, there are plenty of ways in which we can improve EIA quality.

How can we go about implementing positive change in a dynamic profession and legislative environment ?
JOIN me in a first of many discussions on this topic, where we will attempt to figure out what’s really going wrong, and how to turn things around for the profession.
