INTRODUCTION TO EIAs:
A practical guide to the EIA process in South Africa
EIAs or Environmental Impact Assessments now form an integral part of the South African economy.
It is an Environmental Management Tool or Instrument which is used to secure and promote sustainable development and thus safeguard our constitutional right to have our environment protected.
However, EIAs can only secure sustainable development - in the true sense, if they are used wisely, lawfully and ethically, by government officials and environmental practitioners, who are well trained in Integrated Environmental Management and EIAs in particular.
With this in mind, I have developed an introductory course in EIAs which will start on 2 August 2024, online via MS Teams.
